About Me
My name is Elizabeth Williams and I am currently a Master of Arts in Teaching teacher candidate. I was born and raised here in Northwest Arkansas. I love traveling to new places and learning about different people and their cultures. I have found that Northwest Arkansas is the best place to come home to! My favorite activities include spending time with my family, going on long walks and hikes, and cooking. I have started collecting cookbooks from the places I have traveled. My dream is to one day write my own cookbook of all of the incredibly delicious dishes I have experimented with over the years. In addition to cooking, teaching has always been my passion. I believe that the best way to make a mark on the world is by being a dedicated teacher. I look forward to seeing what is in store for my future as an educator.
Teaching in Ireland
During the summer of 2018, I traveled with a group of Professors and future teachers to Ireland to teach and learn about the Irish education system. We visited elementary schools in Limerick, Galway, and Dublin for a total of five schools. Being given a chance to compare and contrast the education system in the United States to those abroad gave me a chance to really analyze myself as a future teacher. Not all content knowledge is universal, but one thing is; the love a teacher has for their students.
